Yojimbo Widescreen View Hack
I’m an avid user of Yojimbo to manage my digital clutter and keep my desktop clean, but I like the idea of making the most of my full screen resolution. This is where John Hicks Yojimbo widescreen view hack comes into play.

The Yojimbo widescreen view hack will turn your copy of Yojimbo into an application with three viewing panes, making the most of widescreen displays. It will allow you to display more item listings downwards on the page, allowing you to scan and read documents quicker.
How do you get your hands on this? It’s simple, download this file and follow the instructions on John’s blog post. It’s a simple process which will only take you a few minutes.
Check out the widescreen hack from John Hicks here.

I feel like those sorts of apps aren’t really necessary. What do you use it for?

I use it to store notes, passwords, application serials, web archives, and bookmarks I want to keep and store.

Glenn, thanks for posting this… what an awesome find! I’ve been using Yojimbo for about a month now after a friend turned me onto it.
After the first hour of use, I had added nearly 100 items to it. I’m a huge fan of the Tag Collections and the .mac syncing too.
Thanks again!

.Mac syncing and the tag collections sold it for me, so easy to keep my clutter in an organized fashion.
Glad you like it.

I may have to check this out! It looks like a pretty cool app and I’m always looking for new ways to reduce my clutter.
On another note, Glenn… what’s the best way to benchmark a computer? I’ve never gone about it before. =P
Cheers!

brianGlenn, you say you use this to keep track of notes, serials, etc… what is the difference between YoJimbo and Wallet?

Brian, thats a little too hard to explain in a comment or even in a short post. I’ll do a full application review of Yojimbo sometime next week.
