Web Services I Use
Everyone is different, and has a different set of unique tools they enjoy using over the internet. I try and keep the web services I use to a minimal amount, so anything which makes it into my bag of tools has to be truly impressive.
Digg. I love Digg, it’s a great place to keep up with all the latest news from dozens of different topics. Digg is set as my browser homepage in Safari and it’s the first site I visit each morning. I like to start the day up to the minute with the latest in tech news.
Flickr. I’m an avid amateur photographer, I love heading out with my Canon 350D and creating images. Flickr allows me to upload my images and get comments and critic on them. I use Flickr to keep up to scratch on the latest gadgets my friends have purchased, and enjoy using the search feature when I’m considering purchasing a new product or item.
GoPlan. If you are like me and are working on many different projects, you need one place to keep them all together and organized. I currently use the Personal GoPlan service, and keep all my projects online complete with task lists, calendars, notes, and more. It helps me keep organized and on top
Twitter. Twitter is perfect for me as I rather dislike staying logged in on instant messaging services. If people need to get hold of my urgently, they know to send me an email. With Twitter, I can now have people send me non-urgent messages over the service, and I can send back quick answers. Twitter also helps me avoid the dreaded IM question, “What’s up?” If I want to tell people, I will over Twitter.
What web services do you use on a daily basis?

Andre → winnopeg.com
No del.icio.us?
#2
Henry → henryetc.com/blog
I’m surprised you’re not a Del.icio.us user, Glenn. It’s very helpful if you find yourself needing your bookmarks on multiple computers, or if you just want a great way to categorize your links and find interesting new ones as well.
#3
Devin → devinreams.com
No hyperlinks? ;)
#4
Ivan Brezak Brkan → www.ivanbrezakbrkan.com
3rd times the charm - Del.icio.us? :)
#5
Josh → maconlyreview.wordpress.com
Spelling error in the title I think Glenn
#6
Kiro → kirosblog.com
I don’t use Del.icio.us a lot mainly because I don’t need the bookmarks on both computers. That basically covers what I use also. I’m not as much of a digg fan but I’m starting to use it more and more. GoPlan is really sweet! I recommend it others to try it. It really helps. Flickr is amazing. I put up all of my photos there. Twitter is great, especially partnered up with Twitterrific.
Nice list Glenn.

wphj → wphj.wordpress.com
I use digg and flickr. Digg is great for cool news, but the community there is less than perfect… Flickr is great.

Glenn Wolsey → www.glennwolsey.com
Regarding del.icio.us, I do not use it for two main reasons. Firstly, I keep my bookmarks in sync using Apple’s .Mac service - this keeps both my desktop and portable machine in sync. The second reason, when I find a cool article I want to keep, I don’t bookmark it. Instead, I capture a PDF of the page.

mikeI keep it pretty simple too.
8apps
Digg
Flickr
Google Reader
I use google reader to keep track of about everything I do on the web, including Flickr and Digg. I use 8apps to keep track my to-do lists.

Steffan Williams → www.steffanwilliams.co.uk
digg, digg and more digg. I really do live on digg, unfortunately. It seems to suck up a lot of my time. Reading, mainly, I very rarely submit anything. I tried it as a blog-promotion tool when I made my blog but it’s not working out for me (I tried yesterday too but it’s not working: http://digg.com/linux_unix/OLPC_OS_Running_on_Parallels/who)
I love me some Twitter, too.
If anyone wants to add me on either, I’m ‘dragonhell’ on digg and my twitter profile is twitter.com/steffanwilliams.

Matt Harwood → visualmediaweb.com
I use most of those services too. I’ve just signed up to Goplan.info - and am really enjoying the experience.
Digg is great, although the general concensus of groups controlling what hits the front-page leaves me open to viable alternatives.
By the way - nice blog here. Subscribed!

You know, I want to like Twitter but I never really got into it. I also don’t use digg.
But I really like Flickr, del.icio.us, and Remember the Milk.

alej744I tend to hit the Mark All Read button in NewsFire for digg more and more lately. It seems there’s too much crap to look through in that huge RSS feed to get to the good stuff. Occasionally I go on and I digg some random links.
I’m a huge fan of Flickr, it’s just so social and fun and easy-to-use. ( I really want a Pro account ).
I use Twitter. Tweet a lot! ( Add me: http://www.twitter.com/alej744 )
I use del.icio.us. I used to think that it was pointless until I tried it out and imported my Safari bookmarks. Now, I have found that it is very fun and useful; especially with Pukka.
That’s all I can think of right now. As for GoPlan, I’ve been trying to find a nice, free GTD to-do project management type thing like that. I’ve been using 8apps but I want to try out GoPlan or Backpack ( 37signals.com ).
I like leaving long comments.

alej744… I’m also going to bookmark Remember The Milk.
Looks cool.

JohnI can’t believe how much I keep hearing about this twitter! Its just so lame! the idea of wondering around telling everyone what your doing while you do it seems to take the fun out of seeing someone. The whole idea of catching up with a friend is to make physical contact with them, socialising and sharing your latest experiences. Instead people just talk to their twitter through their mobile or what ever.
Ok rant over, just had to get that off my chest….now where did i put that cheese

Julian Schrader → julianschrader.de
I somehow can’t get into Digg. It’s kinda weird ;-)
I use:
http://del.icio.us/schrader
http://flickr.com/schrader
http://twitter.com/schrader
http://www.last.fm/user/schraderj/
I also use goplan, but at the moment only for one project—another one is managed with http://www.activecollab.com/ on my own server.

JennI’m not an online service sort of person I guess… What about local software? Do you use photoshop/lightroom for photo editing? It is too expensive for me so I’m looking for something else. I know there are lots who pirate it but my dad would flip if he found it on our computer.

SaintPatrickHI frequently use Flickr for photo’s, Uncrate for all the new gadgets that come out, Lifehacker for life tips, Digg for news and AppleInsider for well Apple Info!

Hmm, I’ve never heard of GoPlan. I’m checking it out now :-) Looks neat. I also use Twitter, Flickr, Digg, and Tumblr. Those are the main ones I use…

Blair BeckwithI’ve tried all of these on your recommendation… Twitter’s design makes me want to vomit.

Hey guys n’ gals, I am 21yo studying product design and i am quite interested in this whole twitter thing. The reason being is that i am looking into surveillance and how twitter is basically a surveillance tool.
