Stylish Firefox Replacement Icon
Many will agree with me when I say I hate the Firefox icon under OSX. I dont hate the actual icon, just when it’s in your dock it’s too big and looks out of place. Change that now with Adam Betts Firefox replacement icon, which is a little smaller and enhanced than the default icon we’ve had to put up with.

Download the icon here.

Glen,
check out my current Firefox icon. If you like it, google “Amora Mac Icon Set” and you’ll find it.
Cheers,
- Smaran
PS: I dugg this post.

Ah, Amora, the theme from David Lanham. I love the icons included in that set, simply beautiful.

Yeah, most of the icons are really nice. Other than the Firefox one, the Quicktime and Safari icons are good too.

I’ll be honest, these past two posts about icons that you “hate” in which you give suggestions as replacements or just pushing silly. The previous icon suggestion (with Newsfire) was bulky and even more cryptic than the actual Newsfire icon and then this Firefox replacement is simply a sloppy Photoshop job that has no significant advantage over the current.

Savadeep Speaks! » I see but so little change of the icon! → savadeep.iblogs.com/2006/09/25/i-see-but-so-little-change-of-the-icon
[...] I am but most curious of this posting that I was a reader of! It is a discusser of a replacement icon for Mozilla Firefox on the system of Mac OS X. That which I am curious of is the improvement and the change! So little change I do see between the images of the two icons. The shadings of the fox are but somewhat different, and the landmasses of the globe have but been a victim of change. But overall the changes are minute and of little consequence it does appear to me! [...]

I wouldn’t call Adam’s work sloppy, he’s an icon wiz. I prefer the Globe he’s using but I prefer the Fox that Jon made.

@ Josh
I honestly dont believe this is a “sloppy” icon. If I did, i wouldn’t have blogged about it.
But we all have different views, thanks for letting me know what you think! :)

I think it looks a little more fluid - but I prefer the definition in the original.
