Desktop Friday: The Third

Each and every Friday I post a desktop wallpaper for all the Mac users out there. The image is taken using my Canon 350D DSLR. Photography really interests me and this gives me a nice way to showcase some work, while giving readers something for nothing.

The wallpaper is sized at a resoultion of 2560×1600 pixels, big enough to be used on a 30 inch Apple Cinema Display, so no-one will miss out. No watermark has been applied to the image either, so play nice, I’m trust worthy that no one will steal my work.

Today’s desktop theme is: Green Leaves.

Feel free to leave any comments about this wallpaper below, it’d be nice to get a comment or two from people who decide to use it, have a great weekend, and enjoy!

  1. Glenn, how did you get that black background? This is a great picture, it’s just replaced my Sydney Opera House picture I was so fond of. Keep it up mate

  2. Nice one i see you went with my suggestion of something green

  3. nice, though I would like it more, if the “front big” leaf would be in focus.

  4. John, the background is black like that because I took this image looking up towards a dark sky, and used the flash to “life” the foreground detail.

  5. Yeah, it is a very nice picture Glenn! I agree with yannic though about that leaf. Otherwise very good picture, I am still using one of the older ones though. :-)

  6. I agree with Yannic and Taylor, the front leaf should be in focus.

  7. I agree with the other people saying the front leaf should be in focus. Because the front is out of focus is really takes away and makes it more difficult to look at.

  8. Odd that the focal point has become the focal point, but I can digg that. I like the 3rd leaf being in focus, because what that says to me is that you probably don’t have your camera set on autofocus. And what that says to me is that you’re willing to take control of the creative process a bit more than most. Plus, I’m a 3rd leaf kind of guy. Good job.

  9. Autofocus? What’s that? ;-)

Thanks for the kind comments Chris.

  10. You certainly like your leaves don’t you? But I suppose you do have a lot of greenery in Middle Earth, I mean NZ.

  11. I do, at this time of year everything is so beautiful. This shot doesn’t really capture that, but New Zealand is amazing all year round.

  12. I really like your desktops where you use black as the base color.
