Desktop Friday: The Fortieth
Each and every Friday I post a desktop wallpaper which I have taken personally on travels and outings with my Canon 350D. The wallpaper is sized at a resoultion of 2560×1600 pixels, big enough to be used on a 30 inch Apple Cinema Display, so no-one will miss out.

Love this photo, Glenn. Just curious as to why there is some sort of gray border around the photo? I’d love to use it as my wallpaper without the border :)

I would love to see two versions of your Friday desktops: one for the 30′ ACD and one for the iPhone

Awesome photo. Although I think you could use photoshop to increase the contrast a bit and make it more greenish, wouldn’t look bad :P

Not bad at all. Definitely one of the better shots I’ve seen from you. If I could see a tad bit more of the grass I’d love it but nice shot regardless.

I like it more that some of your others because of the blur (I dislike complicated and distracting backgrounds).

This was the Canon EF 75-300 f/4-5.6 - pretty cheap lens but I’m working with the gear I have.
From next week, sure thing.

This is nice, but I don’t think enough grass is in focus and there’s that horrible black bit ;P

Once again would have been a better picture if there was some kind of wildlife or object being focused in on,

I know what you mean. Should be getting a great new lens soon. Somewhere in thw 10-24mm range and I’m definitely not wasting money on cheap glass.
